Many thanks to my ex-boss who invited me to view the combined rehearsal 2 show for our 2007 National Day Parade @ Marina Bay! Besides that i had 2 more tix from jon who gave me.. and also a few more which i've gotten last minute ==> i tried to give out.. =) thanks to all!
well, invted CY and SJ to view them together with me...
as i said, this year's ndp show programme is organised by my unit and therefore had many old friends whom are participating in the event. It is indeed great honour that i could be there as i would not be around on 9th August this year... =( I WOULD BE IN PERTH by then already... never mind... once in a lifetime =X i would also be watching it probally live on internet?
well, entered and viewed the floating platform stage (finially!) at 4.15pm... wuhahhaha.. dunno why so earlie man... this is crazy... to be under the sun? hehehe.. what to do... =X.. but indeed to do some hellos and taking of pictures of the stage... which im reallie proud of.. Singapore's new NDP venue.. on a stage on water... heheh...

wahhh... was waiting in the sun! lucky i didnt get so dark man.. hmm.. what happened.. there were some inconsiderate people (probally Kiasu!) in front of us? opening up umbrellas up and blocking out view... thats reallie bad... so hot until must open and block out views? i would rather go flying kites! siao~ but luckily they did not do it the whole time.. if not i would be fuming... when the show started.. the ushers told them to close them.. if not how to see man! =)
show started at around 5.15pm... looking at the lust on stage.. wow... i saw many goodies.. i dunno if i should reveal them here.. prob.. a lil.. if not the fun is not there anymore on national day already.. hehehe...
well, we were indeed bored.. trying to attract people into the mood of the show.. by shouting so lound and be patriotic... but indeed we failed... SJ and me first den CY joint in =).. its okie... its just like how dongfang richard always say, "ladies and gentlement, makkkkeeee sooooommmeeee nooooiiiiissssseeee!!!"
probally just a little... well, show is about NS 40? 40years of national service... yes... Singapore is 42 this year as well as they are also celebrating the 40 years of us in NS! yea.. cool huh.. so the display of all the equipments! cool ones =) 3G (third generation) army...
NDP 2007: A City of Possibilites!
sad to say.. there's no real dedicated choir.. probally due to the space on the platform? but there is a 75 people esemble dancing from various schools.... thats all.. yepss....
it would have a finale with a bang! this year? nahx.. always lar.. with all the various fireworks... many things that you could name lar... similar.. but a different venue?
2 different theme songs! There's no Place I Rather Be and Will you... but i think its not as good as the other years.. till today.. im still on last year's My Island Home.. which i think its still the best.. but HOME! oh yes.. well, if you guys wana hear it... all of them are on the NDP website on http://www.ndp.org.sg/. There's no place i rather be is alright lar...

the whole event ended at around 8.20pm.. so we left for cineleisure's Pasta Mania for dinner.. i was reallie hungry... hahahx..
den took neoprints... after that i went to watch tranformers... at 9.45pm..
sigh.. my legs were hurting.. my gosh.. u see ah... i was pulled from esplanade all the way to the city hall mrt stations.. summore i was in heels.. my gosh.. sore foot.. need a massage already..
transformers! cool cars turning into robots.. should watch... i wonder if its good... lol =X
what's next? nothing already.. thats all for my day.. it has ended... movie ended at around 0005hours... yeps.. so im tired and very sleepy now.. should stop here now...
