DO NOT KILL CROCODILE WHEN YOU SEE ONE!!!!!
Boys confess to killing crocodile
30th October 2007, 10:30 WST

FROM THE WEST ONLINE!!!
Two Cairns teenagers could be fined after killing a crocodile they thought posed a threat to local residents.
A 1.8-metre crocodile was caught and released by a fisherman in a creek at Dillon Street in Westcourt last week, sparking fears for the safety of locals.
David Stallwood, 12, and Henry Tabuar, 14, have told the Cairns Post newspaper they had since caught the animal and killed it because of the threat it posed.
"We got a torch, a big hook and some meat and went down and got it," the paper quoted David as saying.
"We just wanted to get it out for the safety of the people," Henry said.
The boys killed the reptile by bashing it with a rock, the newspaper reported.
Queensland police were aware of the incident but had referred the matter to the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS), a spokesman said.
QPWS officials were on Tuesday morning meeting to investigate the report.
Killing a crocodile attracts a fine of up to $16,000.
